!AddressB component
As soon as !AddressB is started, a new icon is added as part of the iconbar. Clicking SELECT on it makes the window below pop up on the screen.
From this point, the user can:
- modify existing data (that is play with the Title, 1st name, Last name and E-mail data fields) and then validating or canceling the changes made (via the OK/Cancel action buttons);
- browse to see other records in the database by clicking the left/right arrows gadgets;
- delete the current record with the use of the Delete action button;
- add a new record with the New action button.
- drag the sprite based icon between the "Cancel" and the "OK" action buttons and drop it onto the !Address0 or the !AddressI main window.
As soon as the window displays validated data, the user can click on the menu button to perform a clipboard copy operation.
The preference setting window shown below allows a richer set of options to set:
- The "duplicate" gadget box deals with accidental duplicate attempts;
- The "orphan" gadget box deals with accidental deletion of data which is referenced from other applications (here !Address0 or !AddressI). In addition, there is an option to delete cascade all "child" rows from within those applications.
