NIH What's new page
Current release is 0.3
Author: Benoît GILON

What's new since 0.1?
- v0.3
- Now FlHelp interactive help application is compliant to the NIH system too. This lead to a new archive on this site which is a replacement from the archive you can download from David Rushall's (the author) site. This only a temporary setting as I hope that David will integrate the changes I made in his own software distribution.
- Now BubbleHelp interactive help application is compliant to the NIH system too. This lead to provide two new archives on this site in order to update the official (I presume it is) Bubble help archive you can find on Paul Vigay's Web site.
- !Help application changes: resources updated, small and minor glitchs fixed. Now it takes into account differences in token dictionaries between various RISC OS releases + now it correctly handles "\\\" tokens in Messages files which interpretation result is a single "\".
- v0.2
- Frontend tool: to help convert application old message files to the new NIH standard, or build old format message files from a unique source (which follows the NIH standard). I've included !NIHTool in the distribution. It requires you already have the Acorn FrontEnd and DDEUtils modules installed in your environment.
- Sample applications provided (or at least links...):
- ESP's !Player is an example of a BASIC application which has been updated to support the interactive help message mechanism and the NIH system.
- !AddressB is an application suite (written using the Acorn toolbox) and which also uses the NIH facilities.
